Community Development Financial Institution
CityWide affiliate, Dayton Region New Market Fund, LLC, also holds the U.S. Treasury Department’s certification as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). A CDFI is a financial institution that: has a primary mission of community development, serves a target market, provides development services, remains accountable to its community, and is a non-governmental entity.
CityWide makes commercial loans through its CDFI to businesses and projects that are making an economic difference in the Dayton region. Companies seeking financing must be prepared to demonstrate their ability to repay debt, plus show their impact to the community through job creation or other added benefits.
Our goal is to complement those conventional lending resources, often provided by banks and credit unions. We may also serve as a financing solution today in order to prepare a business for financing products and services provided by private sector lenders tomorrow.
