  Economic Development Director Brian Heitkamp joined CityWide Development in 2002 and has been a steady contributor to Dayton’s business community ever since. In his current role, Brian actively oversees all economic development lending programs, as well as manages the business development staff. Brian also acts as an underwriter for commercial and mixed use construction projects. He serves on board for the Miami Valley Venture Association. Brian’s extensive background in financial advising has been a driving factor for his success with CityWide, including Moeller & Company Financial, UBS PaineWebber, and Fifth Third Bank. Brian is a proud graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

  Caitlin Bortolotto Krebs has been a member of the CityWide Development team since 2007. As the organization’s business development officer, Caitlin works closely with local business owners to devise financing solutions to help them grow and expand their companies. Caitlin has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Political Science, both from the University of Dayton. Her past experience includes a Congressional internship in Washington D.C. and a grant associate internship with the Mathile Family Foundation in Dayton. With a passion for community and organizational development, Caitlin joined CityWide after working for the University of Dayton and the Kettering Foundation focused on citizen and civic participation. Caitlin and her husband John have a daughter, Nora. Outside the office, she is an active member of the Junior League of Dayton, Generation Dayton, Dayton Sister Cities Committee, the Dayton Ballet marketing committee, and serves on the Advisory Board for Women in Business Networking.

  Bill Smith has over 25 years of commercial lending and relationship management experience and 37 years in banking. He has been a trusted business and financial advisor to many clients in the Dayton area over his extensive career as a lender. Bill is a graduate of Morehead State University as well as the Savings and Loan Academy. He is a graduate of Leadership Troy, past president of Dollars for Scholars of Troy, past board member of in American Cancer Society in Miami County, past board member and president of the Troy Christian Schools, former instructor of business and personal financial management at Edison Community College and a member of the advisory board of the Upper Valley Small Business Development Center.
